What you type into the calculator

Your salary, your length of service, your leave — all of it is processed in your browser and none of it is transmitted to us. There is no server that receives it, because this site is a set of static files with no back end at all. Close the tab and it is gone.

We say this first because it is the thing that matters: you are entering your own pay details into a page on the open internet, and you are entitled to know where they go. They go nowhere.

Analytics

This site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Consent for analytics storage is denied by default for every visitor in every country and there is no banner to grant it, so the tag runs without cookies: it writes no analytics cookie and stores no identifier on your device. Our own measurement code does read your browser on every page view, to look for the gr_int flag that keeps our own testing out of the figures; it is a single switch rather than an identifier, it is written only after a visit with ?internal=1 appended, and the cookie page describes it in full.

What it does send is aggregate measurement — that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, on what kind of device. It is not linked to you, and it is not linked to anything you typed into the calculator, because what you typed never leaves your browser in the first place.

Advertising

There is none. No advertising tags, no ad network, no advertising cookies, and nothing on this site is sold. That is not a temporary state of a new site — it is the current design of it, and if it ever changes this page will say so before the change ships.

Cookies

No advertising cookies are set, and no analytics cookie is written because analytics consent is denied by default. The one cookie this site can write is our internal-visit flag, and only if you deliberately ask for it. The cookie page sets out the detail.

Third parties

The site is served as static files from its own origin. Fonts are self-hosted rather than fetched from a font network, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did. The one third party involved is Google, as the operator of the analytics service described above.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to request access to, correct, or have deleted — the honest answer to a data-subject request here is that there is no record to act on. If you believe otherwise, or want to ask, email info@gratuitymeter.com.

Changes to this policy

This page was last updated aug 2026. It tracks the site’s actual behaviour rather than an intended behaviour: the sentences about analytics above are generated from the site’s own configuration, so a page that describes a tag the site does not load, or omits one it does, is a build defect rather than an oversight.
